Your privacy matters a lot to us and we're committed to respecting and protecting your privacy and your personal information. The following is a summary of what information is collected, how we collect it, and how we use it to improve your experience with the website & product.

If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to reach out.

What and who is HelloCast?

HelloCast is a software product created by HelloCast, LLC that allows entrepreneurs to plan their podcast episodes, guests, sponsors, and notes in one place.

This Privacy Policy pertains to the HelloCast website, including all subpages, and also applies to all software and services that we offer.

Why we collect information on visitors

Like most web-related products & services, HelloCast collects non-personally-identifying information of the sort that web browsers and servers typically make available, such as the browser type, language preference, referring site, and the date and time of each visitor request.

HelloCast’s purpose in collecting non-personally identifying information is to better understand how HelloCast’s visitors use its website. From time to time, HelloCast may release non-personally-identifying information in the aggregate, e.g., by publishing a report on trends in the usage of its website and software.

HelloCast also collects potentially personally-identifying information like Internet Protocol (IP) addresses. HelloCast does not use such information to identify its visitors, however, and does not disclose such information, other than under the same circumstances that it uses and discloses personally-identifying information, as described below.

Gathering of personally-identifying information

Certain visitors to HelloCast products and services choose to interact with HelloCast in ways that require HelloCast to gather personally-identifying information. The amount and type of information that HelloCast gathers depends on the nature of the interaction. No personally-identifying information is knowingly collected from visitors to the site who do not voluntarily provide this information by direct interaction with the site or product (such as creating an account, using the software, purchasing a paid plan, opening a support ticket, etc.)

For example, visitors who purchase a paid plan or create accounts on the site provide us with a first and last name and an email address. In each case, HelloCast collects such information only insofar as is necessary or appropriate to fulfill the purpose of the visitor's interaction with HelloCast.

HelloCast does not disclose personally-identifying information other than as described below, and visitors can always refuse to supply personally-identifying information, with the caveat that it may prevent them from engaging in certain website-related activities.

Personally-identifiable information might also be used to improve the user experience of the product or service, such as in recording user actions on a page or from within the product, or viewing log reports or analytics about use of the product or website. This is done to improve the experience of and offer support to the end user, and the data collected is strictly limited to what the end user provides through their direct interactions with the product and service.

Protection of personally-identifying information

HelloCast discloses potentially personally-identifying and personally-identifying information only to those of its employees, contractors, and affiliated organizations that (i) need to know that information in order to process it on HelloCast's behalf or to provide services to HelloCast, and (ii) that have agreed not to disclose it to others. Some of those employees, contractors and affiliated organizations may be located outside of your home country; by using HelloCast products and services, you consent to the transfer of such information to them.

HelloCast will not rent or sell potentially personally-identifying and personally-identifying information to anyone. Other than to its employees, contractors, and affiliated organizations, as described above, HelloCast discloses potentially personally-identifying and personally-identifying information only when required to do so by law, or when HelloCast believes in good faith that disclosure is reasonably necessary to protect the property or rights of HelloCast, third parties, or the public at large.

If you are a registered user and/or have supplied your email address, HelloCast may occasionally send you an email to tell you about new features, solicit your feedback, or just keep you up to date with what's going on with HelloCast and our products. If you are subscribed, you can opt-out by clicking the unsubscribe link in any of the emails received from us. Note that you might still receive transactional emails regarding actions and activity pertaining to your account. You can opt out of these by contacting us directly or deleting your account.

If you send us a request or response (for example via a support email or via one of our feedback mechanisms), we reserve the right to publish it in order to help us clarify or respond to your request or to help us support other users. HelloCast takes all measures reasonably necessary to protect against the unauthorized access, use, alteration, or destruction of potentially personally-identifying and personally-identifying information.

As a user of HelloCast, it is your responsibility to safeguard your account and the information about guests and other people that you enter into the app. Ensure that you are only accessing the website via secure channels, and be mindful of who else you might share your account information and/or access with.

Protection of payment information

HelloCast does not save or store any sensitive payment information. All sensitive payment information is transferred over a secure encrypted connection to our payment provider, Stripe. Stripe is certified to PCI Service Provider Level 1, the most stringent level of certification. More information about how Stripe secures your payment information is available here. A limited amount of non-sensitive payment information, such as the last four digits of your credit card, may be saved for accounting and invoicing purposes.

Cookies

A cookie is a string of information that a website stores on a visitor's computer, and that the visitor's browser provides to the website each time the visitor returns. HelloCast uses cookies to help identify and track visitors and their usage of HelloCast products and services.

HelloCast visitors who do not wish to have cookies placed on their computers should set their browsers to refuse cookies before using the HelloCast product and services, with the drawback that certain features of HelloCast products and services may not function properly without the aid of cookies.

Privacy Policy changes

Although most changes are likely to be minor, HelloCast may change its Privacy Policy from time to time, and in HelloCast's sole discretion. HelloCast encourages visitors to frequently check this page for any changes to its Privacy Policy. Your continued use of this site after any change in this Privacy Policy will constitute your acceptance of such change.
